Hi, Im Murugash.

Im an Indian student doing my PhD in Charles University, Czech Republic.

My PhD research revolves around flowers. Particularly we’re trying to understand how anthropogenic factors affect flowers and these changes could possibly go on to influence the delicate relationship between plants and pollinators. In a world where 70% of all our crops is dependent to pollinators to some extent, I feel this is a vital topic truly worth exploring.

Alongside scientific research, photography is one of my core passions which I regularly pursue during my free time. I feel photography coupled with my fascination for exploring new places and meeting new people enables me to see our world in a more pleasent light given how bleak it seems sometimes.

I also feel strongly about structural inequalities which plague our society and want to use this platform to advocate my views in the hopes of working towards a more fair, equitable and inclusive society.
